This week Evan Prodromou is back to take us deeper into the Fediverse. As many of us reconsider our relationship with Twitter, Mastodon has been by-and-large the target of migration. They helped to popularize the idea of a federated universe of community-owned, decentralized, social networks. And, at the heart of it all is ActivityPub.

Evan is one of the co-editors of ActivityPub and has spent more than 15 years working on distributed social network protocols. He ran an open-source social project called StatusNet, formerly chaired the W3C working group on Social Web standards, and is now the Director of Open Technology at Open Earth, where he builds digital architecture to scale climate action.

In this exciting episode, Matt Prewitt speaks with the inquisitive and captivating Christine Lemmer-Webber, who is CTO of the Spritely Institute and whose lifelong work focuses on advocating user freedom.
